Dry Tongue When Sleeping
New Historical Atlas of internet
I often imagined the Google system (in its entirety) comparable to ' Roman Empire. Immense, varied up to capacity, powerful but democratic (as some emperors) so as to reach almost quell'accezione propaganda of the word. If you read a history of Rome from the founding legends of the division between east and west, through the Republican period, for the innumerable struggles between powerful senators, until you reach the imperial period and the subsequent decline, we find ourselves in front of a metaphor "googoliana" historicized that with a little 'imagination, it also suggests a probable future for the giant (s) or Mountain View. But the game as an excuse to take the story and comparing it to stage actors and Internet users can go further: the universe of bloggers? Ancient Greece , conceptual, democratic - this time in the noblest sense of the word - proactive and often with little practical sense, like this post among others. Other suggestions? The Middle Ages, full of hackers and geeks (prone to the "tired" Wired would say) and yet live, for better or worse, just as the political revolutions and trade relations between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries, (Incidentally, the concept of "secular culture" in a nutshell is that time just like response - not exhaustive - the thirst for practical and concrete). In this absurd amusement Steve Jobs, Apple Apps and become the discovery of (his) America; Jobs obviously rises to be the Maya of the moment with his inventions, and solutions in the balance between Templar mysteries and stories from the metaphysical taste. And if we consider the ancient China and the Cold War? Les jeux son fait Now, when I have time, prepare a historical atlas of the Internet to see clearly.
